This is a porcelain mug made in the nerikomi style with layers of pigmented clay. The inside, rim and handle are glazed clear. The outside is bare and has been sanded and sealed which gives a matte appearance.
This is a thin, porcelain item that was made by hand. No piece is perfectly round or symmetrical. Microwave and dishwasher safe, although its life will be extended with handwashing. Holds 14oz.
This piece is priced higher than my usual pieces because of the amount of time involved in creating this complicated pattern.
