This is a porcelain mug made in the nerikomi style with layers of pigmented clay. No two cups are ever alike. The inside, rim and handle are glazed. The outside is bare and has been sanded and sealed which gives a matte appearance.
This is a thin, porcelain item that was made by hand, therefore no piece is perfectly round or symmetrical. See photos so you understand the shape and body prior to purchasing.
Microwave and dishwasher safe, although its life will be extended with handwashing. Holds 12-14oz.
